What to bring to your appointment
We are a shoe-free clinic. Please remove your outdoor shoes at the entrance and put on indoor shoes before entering the consultation area.
Please bring the following if applicable:
Valid ID
Updated medication list with dosage and number of tablets
Indoor shoes to be put on at entrance
Smartphone
-
An up-to-date medication list with correct dosages and number of tablets is essential for a safe and effective consultation. You can obtain the medication list from your general practitioner, download it from Helsenorge.no or prepare your own list written in block letters.
-
In many cases, an exercise stress test is performed on a stationary bicycle or treadmill. It is therefore recommended to bring indoor shoes or suitable footwear.
-
If you have a smartphone, we recommend bringing it with you. Some of the equipment we use for home monitoring of heart rhythm requires a smartphone, but we also have solutions that do not. It is therefore perfectly fine if you do not have one.
Attendance and cancellation
We recommend that you arrive at least 15 minutes before your appointment. In a medical practice, it may occasionally be necessary to reprioritise the schedule due to acute situations. We always try to keep you informed if any waiting time occurs.
If you are unable to attend your scheduled appointment, you must notify us at least 24 hours in advance. Missed appointments without a valid reason will be charged in accordance with current regulations.
You may bring one companion if needed.
Examination process
Many consultations require an ultrasound examination of the heart and an exercise stress test on a stationary bicycle or treadmill. Some patients may also undergo a breathing test or another procedure. Additional examinations may be recommended after the consultation by appointment.
Ultrasound examinations and exercise stress tests require the upper body to be undressed. We provide a shirt to cover the upper body during the consultation. Men are encouraged to shave chest hair to ensure better electrode adhesion.
Most consultations last up to one hour. Some consultations and procedures are carried out by assisting staff, but always under the instruction of a physician.
Payment and exemption card (frikort)
You only pay the regular patient fee according to public rates. Any additional services or examinations not covered by the public healthcare system will be communicated in advance.
After your appointment, you will receive an SMS with a payment link, including Vipps. If you have an exemption card, this will be registered automatically.
